BoutZero runs on the original game's DirectX 9 engine, with anti-aliasing, sharper texture filtering and a high-resolution interface added on top. Anything the graphics card does not support is simply left out, so the game always starts.

Quick Install Guide

1Download the Windows client and unpack the folder somewhere of its own. There is no installer.

2Run BoutZeroLauncher.exe in that folder. It downloads whatever changed, then press PLAY.

3Log in with your BoutZero account and deploy.

Staying Up To Date

The client ships with the BoutZero Launcher. Start it instead of the game and it checks every file against the server and downloads just what changed; then its PLAY button starts the game — no reinstalling for a patch.
